Here are some resources I have used, take a look!
There is a wealth of information available on the internet for small businesses and those that manage organizations, but who has time to visit all of these different sites or read all of the newsletters and blogs? Depending on your work style, here is a tip to manage this information:
Schedule time each day to read this information, don't read it as it arrives in your inbox or as you discover it online. If you're like me, when you come across a good idea you will want to act on it. Make time to read this valuable information when you have time to plan what you will do with it.
As a small business owner you must wear many hats, and that can be exhausting. Here are a few books* that have helped me:
The E-Myth and The E-Myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber.
This author has a number of books now and if they are all as easy reads as these two were, I recommend them!
Hiring Smart by Dr. Pierre Mornell.
As someone who had interviewed and hired many people, I was skeptical of this technique until I tried it. Now I would never conduct an interview another way!
Why We Buy by Paco Underhill
Must-read for retailers and anyone who deals with getting people to buy their stuff.
*Links take you to Amazon.com, but you will find these titles at most new & used book stores.
